The Chair of the Agrarian Issues Committee, Gela Samkharauli held a meeting with the Ambassador of Lithuania, H.E. Andrius Kalindra.

The parties overviewed bilateral relations and placed a special emphasis on cooperation in the agrarian sphere. As noted, the experience of Lithuania will facilitate the raising of awareness of the Georgian farmers through enhanced cooperation and training visits.

“In the conversation with the Ambassador of Lithuania, we outlined that the Chairman of the Agrarian Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Lithuania is serving a visit to Georgia next month accompanied by the Parliamentary Delegation. At the meeting, we discussed the details of the visit and agreed that our colleagues would meet with the legislative and executive authorities. The visit will also include the familiarization with the educational institutions and the discourses with the students and professors about the exchange programs”, - G. Samkharauli noted.

He thanked the Lithuanian people and the Government for supporting Georgia. The parties agreed on further cooperation prospects.
