Giorgi Chakvetadze, the First Deputy Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, attended the official opening of the new academic block of the LEPL Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State University.

A new academic block, designed to accommodate 250 students, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and the Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, in the company of representatives from the legislative, executive, and local authorities.

The Rector of the University, Teona Khupenia, addressed the attendees, emphasising that individuals who pursue uninterrupted educational programs will be entitled to access the standing education centre and library.

The construction of a new academic block was financially supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth with an allocated budget of 1,749,770 GEL.

The opening of the block was also attended by MPs Greta Tsitsava, Dato Kodua and Giorgi Guguchia.
