Giorgi Gabunia, Chair of the Culture Committee, attended the concert of the State Chamber Choir of Georgia at the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome, held on the occasion of the Vatican's jubilee date.

The concert featured the performance of Georgian chants, folk songs, and choral works by Georgian composers, as well as compositions by the Catholic-Patriarch of all Georgia, Ilia II. The “Ave Maria” composed by the Patriarch was performed by Iano Alibegashvili, accompanied by the choir.

The concert was attended by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze and the Government members.

The event, backed by the Culture Ministry, was held in the Vatican in cooperation with the Embassy of Georgia.
