Irakli Mezurnishvili, the First Deputy Chair of the Economic Policy Committee, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Ishizuka Hideki.

The meeting addressed the Georgia-Japan bilateral relations. Mr. Mezurnishvili thanked the Japanese diplomat for the support of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. 

Speaking about the cooperation prospects, the parties deliberated on the twinning idea between the Japanese city of Hino and the Kaspi municipality. As noted, likewise Kaspi, the city of Hino is a settlement rich with historical and cultural heritage monuments. Following the accomplishment of the preparatory works, the two cities will sign the twinning memorandum. 

As per the assessment of the parties, the twinning project will intensify the productivity of the Georgia-Japan cooperation
