The First Deputy Chair of the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee, the Single Mandate MP for 10 communities of Rustavi and Gardabani constituencies, Irakli Shatakishvili met with the schoolchildren of Rustavi Ivane Javakhishvili N24 Georgian Gymnasium.

As he stated, the meetings with children in the Parliament are now established as a tradition. They attend the simulated Committee sittings to get cognizant of the activity of the Parliament.

“We, according to the established tradition, meet children from various schools of Rustavi. Today, we organized a simulated Committee sitting and discussed various issues. The questions of children mostly concerned the history of parliamentarism, the EU approximation strategy and the democratic processes in the country. Meetings with children are crucial since they may serve as an inspiration for them to get engaged in these processes in the future to drive our country to higher benefits”, - I. Shatakishvili noted.

The children had a tour in the Parliament Palace, including Ekvtime Takaishvili Museum of Georgian Parliamentarism; they were provided information about history and activity of the supreme legislative body.
