The Legal Issues Committee elected Isko Daseni as the Deputy Chair of the Committee with majority of votes. 

At today's sitting, pursuant to the documents approved on June 12, 2019 by the Bureau, the First Deputy Chair, David Matikashvili has been assigned as responsible for the Sustainable Development Goals.

Under the draft resolution of June 12, 2019 N270/17, the Bureau approved the Parliamentary Strategy “Facilitation to Realization of the Sustainable Development Goals in Georgia” for 2019-2030 and the 2-year action plan for monitoring.

At the end of the sitting, the Chair of the Legal Issues Committee, Anri Okhanashvili, thanked the members and the staffers of the Committee for their contributions - “I would like to thank everyone – members and staffers of the Committee - for the work embarked in 2019. You have done a great job for the Committee to be maximally responsive to all the challenges we encountered. I believe there has been quite a lot of fruitful, successful work within the Committee in 2019, and I'm sure that 2020 will be an interesting year as well. There will be challenges, though the Committee is committed to cope with any challenge in a qualified manner”.
