Levan Makhashvili, Chair of the EU Integration Committee, and Archil Gorduladze, Chair of the Legal Affairs Committee, met with the member of the Senate of Romania, the Head of the Romania-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group, Cristian-Augustin Niculescu-Ţâgârlaş.
The meeting addressed the Georgia-Romania bilateral and multilateral ties.
The discourse encompassed the role of the middle corridor in the region and the cooperation prospects of the state institutions of the two countries in this context.
Special emphasis was placed on the EU integration process of Georgia.
As noted, Georgia has diligently undertaken economic, legislative, and institutional reforms to prepare for its full-fledged membership in the European Union by 2030.
Georgian MPs emphasised the significance of the partnership with Romania and the emergence of new advantages.
