Maia Bitadze, Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, held a meeting with the students of the ecology faculty of the Sokhumi State University.

Ms. Bitadze reviewed the ecologic challenges and the initiatives aiming at the sustainable development and environmental policy enhancement.

The meeting was attended by Tengiz Nasaridze, the Finance and Economy Minister of Abkhazia AR, who welcomed the students and underlined the significance of youth engagement in solving ecological problems.

The members of the Office of the Committee introduced the presentations about the Committee’s activity and the waste management activities.

At the interactive meeting, the students enjoyed an opportunity to participate in the discussion, ask questions and express their positions.
