Paata Kvizhinadze: the Budget of 2026 is oriented to development

“The Budget of 2026 is oriented to development, the mixed budget expenditures part increased by 3 billion GEL, covering all the directions, including the law-enforcement structures, state development and the social programs”, - Paata Kvizhinadze, Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee stated at the sitting upon the deliberation on the initial version of the Draft State Budget 2026.
As he explained, the Committee convened a summary sitting after which the Parliament submits the Draft back to the Government with respective recommendations and remarks.
Despite the extended expenditures, all economic indices crucial for state development remain within normal rates and are among the best in the region and Europe, as in the preceding years, he noted.
The Committee holds the summary sitting for the deliberation on the initial Draft State budget 2026.
