Today, the Kakheti region hosted the culture experts and the pedagogues invited by the Culture Committee to attend the panel discussion concerning art education reform. Eliso Bolkvadze overviewed the challenges lingering in the art education sphere and concentrated on the necessity to determine the status of the art education institutions.

As the Chair underlined, the art education reform is being developed with the initiative of the Committee and is to be implemented countrywide in 2024.

The legal amendment is enforced in cooperation with the Culture Ministry.

“We covered the Kakheti region, and held an important and interesting meeting”, - she added.

The panel discussion was attended, alongside the Committee members, by the Single Mandate MP for Telavi-Akhmeta-Kvareli and Lagodekhi, Irakli Kadagishvili and the Telavi Mayor, Levan Andriashvili.

“It is a paramount reform long expected by the art schools”, - I. Kadagishvili underlined.

The Culture Committee keeps thematic meetings in various regions of Georgia to discuss the reform with the population.
