The Vice-Speaker, Nino Tsilosani and the Secretary General, Kakha Okrojanashvili met with the interns.
Ms Tsilosani encouraged students to ensure their initiatives are well-researched and of significant value.
“I would like to thank you for your desire to undergo an internship in Parliament. You truly have a good chance to establish yourself in the legislative body. Parliament is a space where you have greater freedom to express yourself and the opportunity to present your initiatives. This is not a place where only we speak; rather, it is a space where your opinions and involvement are very important. We will do everything to ensure that your time here is engaging, including participation in various discussions, meetings, and interactions with members of Parliament”, - she noted.
Mr. Okrojanashvili emphasized the significance of the internship program and accentuated the fact that it is a good platform for acquiring experience.
“Congratulations! You are among the selected candidates from the numerous applicants who participated in the competition announced within the framework of the parliamentary internship program. You will spend an important and exciting three months in the legislative body, where you will have the opportunity to engage in the daily activities of the parliamentary staff, meet with Members of Parliament, and attend both plenary and committee sessions”, - he stated and wished the interns good luck.
The interns will spend their three-month paid internship in various units of the Parliament.
