Anri Okhanashvili elected as the Head of the State Security Service

The Parliament elected Anri Okhanashvili as the Head of the State Security Service with 79 votes.
The Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili congratulated Mr. Okhanashvili on a new position and extended his best wishes in his further career.
“I would like to extend my best wishes to Mr. Okhanashvili, an outstanding Member of Parliament, and the incumbent Justice Minister. Their unwavering efforts and exceptional merit have successfully prevented any of the security risks that were posed. Henceforth, you are to assume the responsibility for these matters. Your patriotism and professionalism are unquestionably evident in your capabilities to honor your commitments”, - the Speaker remarked.
Anri Okhanashvili is elected to a new position with a six-year term, having been transferred from the position of Justice Minister. Previously, he served as a Member of Parliament, holding the position of Chair of the Legal Issues Committee.
