Rati Ionatamishvili Participated in Meeting on Improving Accessibility of Services for Persons with Disabilities

A working meeting on improving the accessibility of public services for persons with disabilities was held at the State Services Development Agency. The meeting was attended by Rati Ionatamishvili, Chair of the Human Rights Protection and Civil Integration Committee, as well as representatives of relevant state institutions and the disability community.

During the discussion, participants reviewed specific recommendations aimed at further improving access to public services for persons with disabilities. They also discussed the possibilities for implementing these initiatives in practice and the steps to be taken in the near future.

The Interagency Coordination Committee for the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities has been operating since 2021 on the basis of a decree of the Government of Georgia. Its primary function is to ensure the active participation of organizations of persons with disabilities in decision-making processes and to prepare relevant recommendations for the Coordination Committee.

The working meeting served as an important platform for sharing experience and perspectives among stakeholders, contributing to the improvement of both the quality and accessibility of public services for persons with disabilities.
