The Majority MPs – Givi Mikanadze and Archil Gorduladze – met with the members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Austria and deliberated on the EU integration of Georgia and the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence.

As the Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, G. Mikanadze noted after the meeting, Austria is a friend of Georgia, always supporting the progress of our country, which was reiterated at the meeting today.

“We discussed the issues concerning the EU integration of Georgia. Austria openly declares of its commitment to support the further progress of Georgia on this path. We also discussed the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence. We provided them with comprehensive information about the pre-adoption processes underlining how liberal Georgian Law is compared to its analogs, which allows us to ensure transparency in this sector. We agreed on further extension of bilateral relations and expressed our commitment to submitting detailed, comprehensive and substantiated positions on all matters”, - G. Mikanadze noted.
