The Procedural Issues and Rules Committee discussing the Bill on Public Service for the II reading

The Procedural Issues and Rules Committee deliberated on the Bill on Public Service for the II reading, submitted for expedited consideration.
According to the reporter, David Matikashvili, Chair of the Committee, made the following amendments to Article 1 of the Law following the I reading of its definition of the “advisor”:
“An individual, whose authority substantially comprises the functions of advising solely for a state servant, including a state and political official, and an individual equalised with a political official or state servant concerning various issues pertaining to their authorities, shall be engaged in the public service in the position of advisor”, - he elucidated.
The position of the advisor to the state-political official shall become unremunerated.
The Committee approved the Bill.
