Shalva Papuashvili: A Military Uniform Is Not Merely a Sign of a Profession — It Is a Symbol of Responsibility Before the Nation — Today’s Awards Are an Expression of Gratitude for the Service You Perform Every Day
“Today, we pay tribute to people whose loyalty, professionalism, and dedication stand in the service of Georgia’s security, peace, and statehood”, - said the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili, during his speech at the ceremony awarding state honors to representatives of the Defence Forces.

As Shalva Papuashvili noted, today’s awards are an expression of gratitude for the service that members of the Defence Forces perform on a daily basis.

“A military uniform is not merely a sign of a profession — it is a symbol of responsibility before the country, society, and future generations. It is an expression of readiness to defend the homeland, its freedom, and its dignity at any time.
Throughout Georgia’s history, the Georgian warrior has always been a symbol of courage, loyalty, and devotion. Today, representatives of the Georgian Defence Forces continue this tradition, serving Georgia with dignity both within the country and in international missions.
Today’s awards are an expression of gratitude for the service you perform every day. The work, discipline, and dedication of each of you strengthen Georgia and make our state even more resilient.
Thank you for your service, your dignity, and your devotion. Congratulations on your well-deserved awards, and I wish you peace, success, and endurance. May God protect Georgia”, - Shalva Papuashvili stated.

Based on a joint nomination by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, President Mikheil Kavelashvili awarded state honors to representatives of the Defence Forces.

Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Irakli Chikovani congratulated the Defence Forces personnel on receiving the state awards.

The award ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace.
