The First Deputy Chair of the Defense and Security Committee, Tengiz Sharmanashvili held a meeting with the readers of the Command and Staff College of the Georgian Defense Forces General Staff Military Training and Education Command in the Parliament.

He introduced the key directions of the Parliamentary activity, the role of the Committee in the law-making process and the functions within the oversight powers.

T. Sharmanashvili informed the students about the Defense Code aspects, accentuating the novelties of the document.

“It is crucial that the Committee maintains close contacts with the defense forces. We, on an annual basis, organize meetings with the readers of the Command and Staff College of the Georgian Defense Forces General Staff Military Training and Education Command, who are high-rank officers. At the interactive meeting, we heard their interests and visions. It is noteworthy that the Committee cooperates with the defense forces not only within the Parliamentary format but we serve frequent visits to the military parts”, - he stated.

At the end of the meeting, T. Sharmanashvili delivered the Constitution of Georgia to the readers of the College as memorable gifts.
