The meeting of Gela Samkharauli and Ketevan Tsikhelashvili with the population of the village Jokolo, Pankisi Gorge

MP Gela Samkharauli and the State Minister for Reconciliation, Ketevan Tsikhelashivli met with the population of the village Jokolo, Pankisi Gorge and discussed the existing challenges, emphasizing the Gorge development prospects, especially the importance of active communication of the Government with the population.

“We share the interests and the goals – development of this beautiful Pankisi Gorge. We shall correctly estimate the facts and develop the strategy with the local population, which is hard to achieve without the dialogue and the compromises. Violence is inadmissible and the Government shall express higher interest in intensity of the meetings. Thus, we will be able to enhance our shared interests. Every problem has the solution, we shall act deriving from our emotions and principles. We shall jointly estimate the facts and reach the logical outcome related to development of Pankisi Gorge”, - G. Samkharauli noted.

The population expressed their positions.

“We all have a shared will – to develop the Gorge”, - the State Minister noted.

“Violence similar to April 21 incident, is inadmissible”.
