Meeting of Zaza Lominadze and Vladimer Kakhadze with Program Manager of USA Organization "Tobacco-Free Kids"

The Chairman of the Healthcare and Social Issues Committee, Zaza Lominadze, and First Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Vladimer Kakhadze met with Olga Knorre, the program manager of the American organization "Tobacco-Free Kids" in the Eurasian region.
The parties paid particular attention to the challenges in the field of tobacco control in Georgia and the issue of preventing the spread of tobacco among adolescents.
"Ms. Olga is actively involved in the implementation of the program to fight against tobacco, and every meeting with her is interesting and important for us. At today's meeting, we analyzed the current situation and agreed on the issues that need to be resolved in order to protect the future generation from tobacco. We also discussed how to tighten tobacco control and how to fight the spread of tobacco among schoolchildren. We made plans for future cooperation", - Zaza Lominadze commented after the meeting.
Giorgi Bakhturidze, head of the Tobacco Control Alliance in Georgia, also attended the meeting.
