The Parliament adopted the Draft Law on Declaring the Law on Business Ombudsman Void unanimously with 76 votes.

Pursuant to the amendments, the positions of the Business Ombudsman and his/her Deputies shall be annulled as of January 1, 2026.

As of 1 January 2026, the Business Ombudsman and his deputies will be relieved of their duties and compensated with three months' salary.

The office of the Business Ombudsman of Georgia will be liquidated from January 1, 2026, according to the rules established by Georgian legislation.
