Alexander Tabatadze, Chair of the Defense and Security Committee, held a meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Chair of the Security and Intelligence Committee members of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Veysal Tipioğlu, and the Committee members.

The parties underlined the Georgia-Turkey friendly relations and the significance of the strategic cooperation between the two countries.

“At the meeting with my counterpart, we reviewed the situation in the region and highlighted the successful cooperation in the security domain. It is noteworthy that our cooperation is imperative for ensuring peace and a safe environment in the region. Georgia and Turkey are strategic partners, tied through years-old cooperation in various spheres. I reaffirmed our commitment to our Turkish colleagues to further enhance collaboration in the security sector”, - A. Tabatadze noted.
