
The First Deputy Chair of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, Aluda Gudushauri held a meeting with the President of the National Council of Austria, Claudia Arpa.
The parties deliberated on the EU integration process and the legal approximation with the EU. The emphasis was placed on the enhancement of the parliamentary relations and cooperation prospects.
“At the meeting, I informed our Austrian colleagues about the steps taken by the Parliament and our Committee in terms of the legal approximation with the EU. I introduced the activity of the Committee in terms of the human rights and protection of women and children, as well as the respective legal base. It is significant that the reforms we have undertaken have been positive estimated and approved. What’s most important, Austria extended intact support to Georgia on the EU integration path, which is related to our ultimate EU membership”, - A. Gudushauri stated.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Georgia to Austria, the Permanent Representative of Georgia to OSCE and international organizations in Vienna, Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
