Meeting of Aluda Ghudushauri with the Business Ombudsman

During the meeting between Aluda Ghudushauri, the First Deputy Chairman of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, and Otar Danelia, the Business Ombudsman of Georgia, the main topic of discussion was the reforms implemented in the country to support businesses. Specifically, they highlighted the Law on Entrepreneurs, which was adopted by the Parliament of the 10th convocation two years ago. This law was designed to promote and regulate business activities in Georgia.

"During our discussion, we focused on assessing how the approaches and regulations implemented in the legislation are perceived by businesses in practice. We sought to identify any concerns of a systematic nature raised by businesses that may require reconsideration or a fresh perspective. According to the business ombudsman, the regulations outlined in the legislation have yielded positive and tangible outcomes, and the enactment of the Law on Entrepreneurs has been particularly valuable in supporting businesses. We received insights from businesses regarding their planned future steps. It was agreed that, considering the current regional developments and challenges, we will collaborate with businesses to address issues requiring innovative approaches. By transforming challenges into opportunities and providing further support to businesses, we aim to create a conducive environment that ultimately benefits the well-being of the country's population. A thriving business sector generates additional employment opportunities, and the resulting wealth, which should be accessible to every citizen, contributes to the country's sustainable progress and development", - Aluda Ghudushauri stated.
