
Aluda Ghudushauri, First Deputy Chairman of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, met with students from various higher education institutions to expand on the main directions of the Parliament's activities and talk about the specifics of the work of the committees.
According to him, with the new Constitution of Georgia, the oversight function of the legislature has been further increased and the Parliament, in various formats, is intensively monitoring the implementation of the adopted laws.
Aluda Ghudushauri also dwelt on the importance of human rights protection in the modern democratic world and focused on the reforms and measures taken by the Georgian government. According to him, one of the main priorities of the government is to protect human rights and ensure a dignified future. As he estimates, in order for the democratic processes to develop significantly, it is necessary for the country to have an educated and erudite generation.
Regarding the ongoing processes in the country, the MP called on the students to be more involved and to prepare new initiatives and appreciated the opinions expressed by the students at the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, A. Ghudushauri and the members of the Students’ Parliament agreed on the directions of active communication and cooperation.
