The Chair of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, Beka Odisharia held a meeting with the Minister of IDPs of Abkhazia AR, David Patsatsia and the representatives of Abkhazia AR Government.

The parties deliberated on the International Conference with the participation of the Parliament and Israeli Friendship Group, Diaspora Committee and Abkhazia AR Government scheduled in October. The meeting was attended by a famous publicist and scientist, Iakob Ofir–Efremashvili, and his is to be presented at the Conference.

“In the Parliament, we host a very important representative delegation, including a famous public figure, publicist and scientist, Iakob Ofiri – Efremashvili – a Georgian Jewish, born in Sukhumi, which actively strives in the regulation and elimination of the Russia-inspired Georgia-Abkhazia conflict. We got cognizant of his work “History of Jews of Georgia according to the Archive Material”, which is a compendium of unique archive data that has been under “classification” for a very long time. The book provides the readers with lots of interesting and important facts and events”, - B. Odisharia noted.
