The member of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Eka Sepashvili as a thematic rapporteur, held a working meeting with the City Court Judges to discuss the consumers’ rights.

The parties overviewed the issues related to the enforcement of the Law on Rights of Consumers adopted in March 2022 and discussed the judicial practice in this sphere, namely, the preceding practice and the update after the adoption of a Law. The parties touched upon the respective challenges.

“The legal protection of the consumers and the accessibility to justice serve as key preconditions for the resolution of a dispute and hence, sharing the judicial practice allows the complex analysis of the proper approaches and the adoption of the mechanisms oriented to the impartial decisions”, - she stated.
