Meeting of Eka Sepashvili with the representatives of the National Bank concerning the Consumers Rights

The First Deputy Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Eka Sepashvili being the rapporteur on the thematic enquiry keeps her working meetings concerning the consumers’ rights. Today, she met with the representatives of the National Bank to discuss the final enactment of the Law on Protection of Consumers Rights scheduled on November 1.


The parties discussed the changes to be introduced to the normative acts adopted by the NB due to the adoption of the Law.


“The National Bank, exercising the regulatory function of the financial sector, plays a crucial role in the protection of consumers’ rights and hence, today, we discussed the consumers’ rights in the financial sector and the changes that may be introduced to the normative acts adopted by the National Bank as the enforcement of the Law starts. We also touched upon the acute challenges that may emerge upon the enforcement of the Law”, - E. Sepashvili stated.
