Working Meeting of Eka Sepashvili concerning the Consumers’ Rights

The First Deputy Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Eka Sepashvili, in capacity of the thematic rapporteur, held a meeting with the individual business subjects to get cognizant of the positions of the business subjects regarding the enforcement of the Law on Protection of Consumers’ Rights adopted in March 2022.

“The individual business subjects expressed their positions noting the necessity of clarification of some Articles. It is as well important, as they noted, to clarify the criteria for them. It is noteworthy that the relations of a certain type with the consumers are already stipulated under the Law and no impediments so far are registered to appear in the fulfillment of the criteria developed for the return of the goods. However, as it appears, they still prefer to take precautions towards this process that starts upon the moment of the enforcement of the Law since. As they believe, additional criteria would preferably be developed to specify the case of the return or repair of the goods”, - she noted.

The technical assistance of the activity of the thematic rapporteur is ensured by AA Facility.
