Eliso Bolkvadze, Chairperson of the Culture Committee, and Irakli Mezurnishvili, First Deputy Chairperson, met with the Director-General for Education, Youth, Sport, Culture at European Commission, Themis Christophidou, and the Deputy Director of the department.

"We discussed many important issues at the meeting, including the importance of promoting regional cultural development in order to raise public awareness; Georgia's membership and promotion in international art platforms; involvement of EU experts in the field of art in order to promote the systematic development of culture in Georgia”, - Eliso Bolkvadze stated.

The meeting focused on the introduction and digitization of innovative technologies in the field of culture.

The topic of hosting webinars was also brought up at the meeting in order to further inform the artists.

"Representatives of the European Commission welcome Georgia's active involvement in the Creative Europe format", - Irakli Mezurnishvili said.
