
Giorgi Chakvetadze, the First Deputy Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, visited the Baku State University to meet with the Rector, Elchin Babayev.
Mr. Chakvetadze reviewed the university reform scheduled for implementation in Georgia and emphasised the prospects of cooperation between the universities of the two countries.
Rector Babayev thanked Mr. Chakvetadze for visiting the University and affirmed his commitment to enhancing the ties.
The emphasis was placed on the unique attention accorded by the Baku State University to the mutual recognition of diplomas and the signing of memoranda with various Georgian universities.
The parties mutually agreed to, concurrently with the strategic partnership, further strengthen the cooperation between the universities of the two countries in the educational, scientific, and research spheres, and outlined a certain action plan and respective terms in this regard.
Baku State University, the oldest and largest higher educational institution in Azerbaijan, offers comprehensive education to approximately 26,000 students across 16 faculties. The university also employs a dedicated workforce of up to 3,000 academic personnel.
