Giorgi Chakvetadze, the First Deputy Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, serves a working visit to Baku. Within the framework of the visit, Mr. Chakvetadze met with the youth engaged in the Georgia-Azerbaijan Youth Forum project.
During the meeting with the students, he underscored the importance of the Forum in fostering a strengthened strategic partnership between the two nations.
He highlighted the pivotal role of the Presidents of the two countries, Mikheil Kavelashvili and Ilham Aliyev, in the successful implementation of the project.
The inaugural Youth Forum was convened in 2025, organised by the respective agencies of the two nations. The forum took place from July 22nd to 28th, with three venues in Azerbaijan: Guba, Baku, and Sumgait. A total of 90 students participated in this experience. The primary objective of the forum was to foster a deeper understanding of the cultural heritage of both countries. The project’s success has paved the way for its imminent implementation in Georgia.
During the visit, G. Chakvetadze holds meetings in the Milli Majlis and the Youth and Sports Ministry. He will also visit the Baku State University.
