The Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Giorgi Kakhiani met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Georgia, H.E. Petr Kubernát.

The parties talked about Georgia's integration into the European Union, current political processes in the country, and issues of bilateral cooperation.

"Georgia's integration into the European Union received support from the Czech state, and this support will continue in the future. I expressed my gratitude to Petr Kubernát for this support. The guest, Mr. Ambassador, expressed his willingness to share the Czech Republic's experience in its journey to join the European Union. Our discussion also encompassed the projects that the Czech state is currently implementing in various sectors in Georgia, and Mr. Ambassador expressed his support for the continuation of these projects. Additionally, we discussed the current political situation in Georgia and the upcoming parliamentary elections in 2024. I emphasized my full commitment to ensuring that these elections adhere to international standards”, - Giorgi Kakhiani stated after the meeting.
