Meeting of Giorgi Kakhiani with the Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea

The Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Giorgi Kakhiani, met with the delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, led by the Assembly's Vice-Chairman, Joo Ho-young, during their visit to Georgia.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the existing relations between Georgia and Korea and discussed the importance of deepening cooperation. It was noted that both tourist and trade-economic relations between Georgia and Korea are growing annually, a development welcomed by both sides.

"A very interesting and friendly meeting was held with the members of the delegation from the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea. We discussed both the existing relationships between our two countries and the directions for future cooperation. It is noteworthy that in the near future, the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Georgia and the commencement of direct flights between Seoul and Tbilisi are planned, which will further strengthen our cooperation and create new opportunities. It should also be noted that there is talk of visa-free travel for Georgian citizens to the Republic of Korea, which will further promote tourism and enhance trade cooperation", - Giorgi Kakhiani stated.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Giorgi Kakhiani expressed his gratitude to the Korean side for their support of Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
