Giorgi Volski, the First Vice-Speaker and the Head of the Georgia-Armenia Friendship Group, met with the Chair of the Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Sports and Youth Committee of the National Assembly of Armenia,
Sisak Gabrielyan, and the Committee members.
The parties emphasized the friendly and partnership relations between Georgia and Armenia, highlighting the need for cooperation in the education and science spheres. The discourse included the developments in the South Caucasus region.
“The ongoing negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, supported by the United States, are of particular importance for peace in the South Caucasus. We hope that these negotiations will be successfully concluded”, - he noted.
The meeting was attended by the members of the Georgia-Armenia Friendship Group: Tengiz Sharmanashvili, the First Deputy Chair of the Defence and Security Committee; and Greta Tsitsava, the Deputy Chair of the Faction “Georgian Dream”.
