The Head of the Parliamentary Delegation to PABSEC, Irakli Mezurnishvili attended the International Black Sea Rize-Ayder Forum, the central topic of which was “Transport and Logistics in the Black Sea Region”.

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a special video address at the opening panel of the Forum. Irakli Mezurnishvili also addressed the attendees speaking about the importance of the Black Sea region.

“The Black Sea region carries an immense potential as in global transport, so in logistic terms. And this is the very potential, for the realization of which the representatives of the private sector and international institutions shall closely cooperate. By facilitating investments and innovations, we may fully realize the advantage of this strategically important region. I would like to express my hopes for the extension of this Forum in upcoming years since it has the potential to serve as an invaluable platform for cooperation, dialogue and exchange of ideas”, - he stated.

The Parliamentary Delegations of the PABSEC member states, and the representatives of various international and regional organizations participated in the Forum.
