
Maia Bitadze, Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, within the Working Group on Business Sector, held a meeting with the representatives of the Business Association member companies to deliberate on the amendments to the Environmental Assessment Code.
The amendments to the Code were developed by the Parliament in collaboration with the Environmental Protection and Agriculture Ministry and the business sector. The amendments simplify the environmental impact assessment procedures, ensuring transparency and effectiveness in the environmental assessment and permit issuance processes. This clarity empowers businesses to effectively plan their activities.
Nino Tandilashvili, the First Deputy Environment Minister, introduced a presentation of the amendments to the Code.
