Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, and her First Deputy, Giorgi Chakvetadze, attended the opening ceremony of the “New Generation” campuses. Ms. Lashkhi congratulated the pedagogues and the schoolchildren on the opening, extending her best wishes for the school activity.

“I would like to extend my congratulations on the commencement of your education in this exceptional environment. Schools provide children with not only academic knowledge but also essential life skills that facilitate their development into free citizens. I am delighted to have another educational institution open in our city with the aim of ensuring the best future for our children. On behalf of the Parliament of Georgia and the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, I would like to express our commitment to ensuring your better future and education through legislative improvements”, - she stated.

Mr Chakvetadze also addressed the attendees: “It is an immense honour and responsibility to attend this ceremony with you and I am confident that this day will be memorable for us all. The school infrastructure meets all standards to provide the best conditions for the new academic year. Numerous reforms have been undertaken in the education sphere. Last year, the Parliament adopted the document on the national objectives of general education, which shall serve as a guideline for the education of every child in public and private schools”, - he noted.

Mariam Lashkhi and Giorgi Chakvetadze were provided with tours in the classrooms, laboratories, the robotics room, library, gyms and stadiums.

The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Education, Science and Youth Minister, Zgiad Gabisonia.
