The First Deputy Chair of the Education and Science Committee, Mariam Lashkhi, and MP Rati Ionatamishvili held a meeting with the representatives of the Union of Blinds of Georgia and deliberated on the needs and problems of the blind persons and persons with impaired vision, and their integration in the education sphere.

“We discussed the challenges that blind persons encounter concerning the accessibility to education; we touched upon the ratification of the Marrakesh Agreement regulating the copyrights and adjoining rights to provide blind persons with access to the education and possibility to get engaged in the scientific and research activities”, - M. Lashkhi stated.

The meeting was attended by the Education and Science Committee member, Baia Kvitsiani.
