Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, met with the participants and winners of the competition “I Young Scientist”.
The meeting was dedicated to deliberation on the promotion and facilitation of young Georgian scientists and the development of their capabilities.
"As noted, the winners of the competition for various years represented their projects at the EU Young Scientists Competition. At the national level, the competition is organized by the International Educational Programs Fund. The competition is annually held in one of the EU member states.
During the meeting, we focused on cooperation with both the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee and the Interim Commission on Women and Children.
We discussed the achievements of Georgian youth in international competitions and emphasized the need to support the practical implementation of the winning projects. We also discussed the education reform and the state’s direction in developing higher education and implementing programmes to support young people”, - she stated.
After the meeting, the students had a tour in the Parliament Palace. At the plenary session, they were welcomed by the Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili.
