She congratulated the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation on its 20th anniversary, noting that over the years, the Foundation has become the main nucleus of Georgian science. It not only supports research but also fosters an environment where young scientists can engage in the international scientific arena and contribute to the development of innovation.
Mr. Givi Mikanadze, the Education, Science and Youth Minister, his Deputy, Zviad Gabisonia, Teimuraz Dochviri, the Director General of the LEPL Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, and Roin Metreveli, the President of the National Academy of Sciences, also addressed the attendees.
As part of the ceremony, distinguished and young scientists were awarded certificates and honorary awards for their outstanding scientific and pedagogical work.
World Science Day, established by UNESCO in 2001, is celebrated annually on November 10 across the globe. The main theme of the 2025 International Day of Science is: “Trust, transformation, and tomorrow: The science we need for 2050.”
The ceremony was attended by the representatives of the executive and legislative authorities and the scientific circle.
