Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee and the Chair of the Interim Commission on Women and Children, held a meeting with the representatives of the Movement “Families with Many Children, Georgia”.
The central topics of the meeting were the country’s demographic situation, existing challenges, and issues related to supporting large families.
“At the meeting, we discussed the areas on which the Interim Commission on Women and Children is currently focused. We are actively consulting with the relevant state agencies regarding the status of large families. It is important for the country to have accurate statistics on large families so that the state can develop targeted programs and support packages based on this data, which will help strengthen such families”, - stated Mariam Lashkhi.
