The Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee Paata Kvizhinadze met with the EU4 Sustainable Governance and Resilience Assessment mission representatives, Jean-Charles Ameel/Team Leader, Michael Leckey/Key Expert and David Shoshitaishvili.

P. Kvizhinadze introduced the outcomes of the activity of the Committee for 2023 in financial oversight terms.

Special emphasis, deriving from the mandate of the program, was placed on the principles of the Standing Audit Group at the Committee scrutinizing the State Audit Service reports. As underlined, the Audit Group considers all reports of central level submitted by the State Audit Service.

In line with the Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) report for 2022, the activities of the Budget and Finance Committee, State Audit Service and the Audit Group were categorized as superior (category A).

As stated by P. Kvizhinadze, the parties agreed on further enhancement of cooperation.
