
Paata Kvizhinadze, Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee, met with Alejandro Hajdenberg, the new Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission.
The meeting at Parliament was also attended by Andrew Jewell, the IMF's Resident Representative in Georgia.
During the introductory meeting, discussions covered Georgia's macroeconomic stability, fiscal and monetary policy, inflation, refinancing rate, and the current situation in the banking sector.
They also discussed ongoing issues between Georgia and the International Monetary Fund.
The Chairman of the Committee wished the new head of the IMF mission success in his future endeavors and expressed readiness for close cooperation.
