The amendments are introduced to the Law on Roads, envisaging that the roadside zone area of international significance highways will be expanded from 100 meters to 200 meters.

According to the Chair of the Economic Policy Committee, Shota Berekashvili, within the territory that falls under this zone, any type of activity will be permitted only on the basis of prior agreement with the road owner.

The draft was adopted with 90 votes and expedited procedure.
