Meeting of Rati Ionatamishvili with the representatives of the UNDP International and Local Missions

Majority MP Rati Ionatamishvili held a meeting with the representatives of the UN joint program “Leave no one behind — from policy and principles to practice in disability inclusive development in Georgia” and deliberated on the relations between UNDP and Georgian Parliament, as well as further cooperation priorities.


“We have undertaken numerous significant programs jointly with the UNDP donors, including a new Law on Persons with Disabilities and their expert opinion on the impact effects. We highly value the UNDP expertise and experience for the development of persons with disabilities in Georgia; UNDP experts were actively engaged in the processes we have been jointly undertaking. It is paramount that the representatives of the program give a high evaluation to the cooperation with the Georgian Parliament”, - R. Ionatamishvili underlined.


The meeting was attended by the representative of the UN Partnership on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNPRPD), Natalia Mattioli; the Ambassador for Disability Inclusion, Heli Mikkola; the SIDA representative, Louise Wahlström; and the Human Rights expert, Zero Aykol.
