The Committee elected the First Deputy Chair at the sitting – Irakli Zarkua was nominated by the Chair, Sozar Subari.

As S. Subari noted, the candidate has just recently joined the Committee, though he was actively cooperating in regional development direction. He dwelt on the working experience of the candidate and noted his recent Doctoral degree in Economic Science.

The Committee heard the candidate stating that “enhancement of the municipalities at the place is a key detail for the development of the country. I am glad to be honored together with you to increase our oversight on the regional development projects and further enhance our municipalities”.

The Committee unanimously approved the candidate for the position.
