Paata Kvizhinadze: According to the key economic indicators, Georgia stands out as a successful nation among the European Union member states, candidate states, and other countries

The Budget and Finance Committee has compiled the analysis on the economic forecasts for summer 2025, published by the European Commission a few days ago. The report encompasses the EU member states, candidate states, and other countries. The document comprises 244 pages.

Four fundamental economic indicators are delineated that govern the nation’s development: the rate of economic expansion, the level of state debt relative to the economy, the maintenance of low inflation, and the budget deficit, which, as stipulated by European directives, shall not exceed 3%.

“According to all these key economic indicators, Georgia stands out as a successful nation among the European Union member states, candidate states, and other countries. It is imperative for Georgia to maintain the pace to, within the next few years, attain the level of life of Eastern European and Western European countries”, - P. Kvizhinadze noted.
