The Procedural Issues and Rules Committee deliberated on the Bill on Public Service for the I reading. According to the Chair, David Matikashvili, the currently applied Law envisages the engagement of paid advisors for the state and political officials, while the amendments make the position of the advisor unremunerated.
The position of the advisor, stemming from its essence, is not busy and equal to any other public worker. Hence, it is expedient to make it unremunerated.
