The Procedural Issues Committee deliberated on the outcomes of the scrutiny of information about the mandatory attendance and hearing of the officials at the Committee sitting

The Procedural Issues Committee deliberated on the outcomes of the scrutiny of information about the mandatory attendance and hearing of the officials at the Committee sitting, provided by the Committees.

As Chair of the Committee, David Matikashvili stated, the scrutiny and processing of information revealed that none of the Committees in Parliament has made a decision on the invitation of the officials for the period of 1 July to 30 September 2025. Furthermore, none of the Factions has requested the mandatory attendance of the officials at the Committee meeting.

According to him, none of the officials envisaged under paragraph 1, Article 147 of the Rules of Procedure, has appealed to any of the Committees for a hearing.

As per paragraph 10, Article 147 of the Rules of Procedure, the outcomes of the analysis shall be submitted to the Bureau. The Procedural Issues Committee will ensure the upload of the information to the Parliamentary website, Mr Matikashvili noted.

As paragraph 10, Article 147 of the Rules of Procedure stipulates, the Procedural Issues Committee is assigned to, in an intermittent manner, scrutinize the information about the mandatory attendance and hearing of the officials by the Committees.

The Committee also deliberated on the termination of the legal status of the lobbyist for Zaal Sarajishvili. As the Committee presumed, he legal status of the lobbyist of Zaal Sarajishvili, registered in view of amending the Law on Social Aid shall be terminated in line with subparagraph “b”, paragraph 2, Article 8 of the Law on Lobbyist Activity.
