
“On 23–24 November, together with the parliamentary delegation, I was visiting in Bulgaria, attending the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, where the Parliament of Georgia assumed the presidency of the Assembly from Bulgaria for the next six months”, - stated the Speaker of Parliament, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili, at the plenary session.
According to him, the Georgian side presented its priorities for the period of its presidency.
“At the Assembly, we presented, among other things, the priorities of our presidency, which include enhancing connectivity, promoting economic cooperation, and strengthening parliamentary diplomacy. Next summer, Georgia will host the Assembly meeting, and we intend to use Georgia’s presidency to further advance, within the parliamentary dimension, the concept of the Black Sea and the Middle Corridor as a bridge connecting Europe and Asia. Therefore, congratulations to everyone — Georgia will serve as the presiding country for the next six months”, - stated Shalva Papuashvili.
